Worth the time

Time... Is there actually enough of it!





There have been many days I say no! There is not enough time!





Long work days... Come home, get dinner ready... Help with homework... Than work some more... Send four lady bugs to bed and work some more... Off to bed only to wake up early and start again.



Struggling each day not to drown… No true time for the family or any time for yourself. Day in and day out it becomes more and more stressful. You are unhappy and the family is unhappy. The strain takes a toll physically. You don't get exercise... you feel run down. You’re drowning and need a lifeline. You lose touch with your faith and tune out what people and the Lord is telling you. You ask yourself, how am I going to get out of this? I can't stop working, my family depends on me to keep them secure and healthy, but they need time with me and I need time with them! What can I do to stop the tidal wave?



Sounds familiar? Many of us live this life. I know I have and it’s easy to keep going down that path and let the anxiety build. Some of us are unlucky and the strain it too much. We get sick... We mentally can't keep going and have panic attacks... Or worse we end up in the hospital after a heart attack.



What is the breaking point?



Well for me you would think that having an anxiety attack that felt like a heart attack would have been that point for me. No, that was not it... The Lord must have shook His head in disbelief and decided a little voice is what I needed and he gave it in my littlest lady bug.



One day my youngest daughter, Livi came to me and said, "Mommy are you going to die?" It was totally out of the blue and stunned me on the spot. Not that I plan to live forever, but it was a big concern from a six year old. She was worried about me and her baby blue eyes showed deep sadness. My littlest girl could see that I was pushing myself too hard. She did not know how to say it any other way but "are you going to die?"



I think an angel whispered that in her ear to give me a message and wake me up. With that stunning comment, I knew I needed to find a way to change the situation so I was not pushing myself to an extreme. I started to look for new careers, work from home opportunities, home bases businesses, telecommuting; you name it I was searching. I knew whatever I found, it had to provide me the financial stability to support my family and just as important the time to spend with them and time just for me.
